And finally getting to celebrate the fruits of her labour, Shakira made sure all eyes were on her as she stepped out to celebrate the launch of her new album El Dorado.
The singer hosted an album release party on Thursday evening in Miami, Florida and looked sensational as she sported a metallic gold mini dress for the occasion.
Her quirky mini-dress comprised of a nude material and boasted a plethora of gold mosaic pieces all over its front.
It featured a collared neckline and the Hips Don’t Lie hit-maker left her sculpted shoulders on view, thanks to her dress’ sleeveless design.
She teamed her number with a pair of nude peep-toe heels and was seen toting a complementing box clutch in one hand.
She first began work on El Dorodo at the beginning of 2016 and released the album’s leading single Chantaje – a collaboration with Colombian singer Maluma – in October last year.
She has since released her second single from the album titled Me Enamoré.
El Dorado marks the vocal talent’s 11th studio album – it comes three years after Shakira’s last self-titled album that was released in 2014.
